Accepting Donations for Lok Satta Party now…

I have setup a donors list on the site that will feature your name and the donation amount received. If you’d like to keep your name or donation anonymous, please let me know. Please donate generously, we would like to collect as much as possible before the elections.

You can find more about the party @ www.loksatta.org . You can go through the party agenda on the site and if you believe that the party is going to bring about the change we are all looking for, then please contribute generously. Elections are expensive in India and funds are the need of the hour. Please send all donations to my paypal account @ praveensg[ AT ]gmail.com . Feel free to contact me via email if you have any questions or concerns.

If you would like to pay by cash or check, you can email me and I shall collect it from you personally or will send you my mailing address. If you would like to contribute in excess of $100, I’d advise you to do so using Loksatta’s web site (look for CHC sponsorship). This is a fund-raising drive for people who are willing to make smaller contributions and are looking for some insight into the party’s ideology, agenda et al. I shall be more than happy to educate you about the party.

Many thanks and Jai Hind,
Praveen

    Hi Praveen,

I am a friend of JP from the XXXXX Area. Just bumped into your website after searching futilely for hours for any official election website that could authentically say if it is ok for non-citizen Indians (OCIs) to fund election campaigns via their Indian Bank accounts. Could you please refer me to any information on this topic? I would appreciate it.

    regards,

  • Hello Mr. Anonymous,
The Election Commission of India prohibits any political party to collect funds from a non-Indian citizen. However, we have setup a 527 org here in the US called ‘People for Loksatta’ (PFL) that works towards creating awareness and raising funds for LSP from Indian and foreign citizens alike. PFL has several operating costs that many a times come out of funds designated to the party. If foreign citizens come forward and contribute to PFL, we will be in a position to send in more funds to the party directly.

    Hope that helps,
    Praveen
